Please consult your doctor before engaging on any fitness regime.

Today's 15 minute workout is courtesy of PT Mollie.  Send her a tweet at @PTMollie, using #0Calendar or #FatFreeXmas and let her know how you did.

Remember to go for QUALITY over quantity. If you are unclear what the exercise is I am describing, please look for a video or arrange for an in-person tutorial with me (mollie@ptmollie.com).

You can use tv commercials as 20-30 second intervals or a kitchen timer. Repeat at least 3x in a row.

The choices we make, not the choices we take, determine our destiny.

Rod’s Racing (Racing for Orphans with Down Syndrome)
Our purpose is to create awareness for these special children and raise funding that will go towards making what seemed like a distant dream of having a family of their own become a reality, one child at a time.

Mollie chose Rod’s Racing as the charity for the first week of the advent calendar. Her brother and sister-in-law found out their second son, Jacob, had Downs Syndrome in September 2011.  He was stillborn one day after his due date in February 2012. She is an active team member hoping to raise $2000 (~£1300) in memory of Jacob.  She is very happy to be supporting children with Down Syndrome via sport.

Please support this charity by donating here www.rodsracing.org/mollie

WithAnna’s Baked Apple Recipe
Serves 4, 30-40 minutes including 5-10 minutes prepping time.

This is a super-easy recipe for a sweet winter dessert. You can make it as simple or as complicated as you want. I've provided you with my basic recipe and have added some pointers to what you could do to spice it up (literally)!

You need
4 apples (Boskoop is my favorite, not too sweet one)
2 bananas
3 Tbsp chopped walnuts (the bigger the pieces, the crunchier the filling)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 Tbsp Butter

You can add
Berries, nuts, raisins or nutmeg to the filling,
Brown sugar on top or
Vanilla sauce or ice cream to the baked apples.

First you should pre-heat your oven to 180°C or 350°F. Next, remove the cores, you can use an apple corer or a small knive. Mash up your banana with a fork and mix it with the chopped walnuts and other nuts or berries of your choice. Add some cinnamon according to your own taste.
Now fill the mixture in to your apples and put them on a baking pan.
Add a small square of butter on the top of the filled up hole. If you want sprinkle with brown sugar, this is not a must as the filling and the apple are sweet enough. Baked the apple roughly 30 minutes until it is softer but not mushy. The skin might peel off a little. Add vanilla ice cream or a vanilla sauce if you want and eat the apples hot. Enjoy!
