#WinIt Wednesday: Born to Run

Wednesday, August 5, 2015

It's summertime, so why not have a little fun?  Every Wednesday this month, I will be having a little giveaway as a thank you to all of my readers and followers.  Check back every Wednesday morning or follow me on Bloglovin',

Today I am giving away a copy of Chris McDougall's Born to Run, which tells the tale of a secluded Mexican tribe who successfully run through their native terrain without any trainers on their feet. (Note: Chris tells the story way better than I do). I found a copy of this book last December in a charity shop and tore through it, soon convinced barefoot running would solve my Achilles tendinitis and plantar fasciitis problems.  Unfortunately, I never did get around to testing this theory.

Born to Run was published back in 2010 to rave reviews. This year, I was lucky enough to meet Chris at Run and Become in London while he was promoting his book Natural Born Heroes.  He is a natural story teller (so much so that he lost his voice the day he was meant to be telling the tale of how his researched his book at Run and Become.  Luckily, he had Tara Wood, of Wild Fitness, to tell his tale as she was featured in the book and had been on tour with Chris.).  He just radiates positive energy and happily signed autographs and answered questions from nearly all the attendees after his 'talk' which wasn't a talk as he literally couldn't talk.
Anyways, I have a brand new copy of Born to Run I would like one of my readers to win.  If you have lost your running mojo or want an amazing book to read on holiday, I suggest to enter my giveaway. Contest is open from 5/8/15- 12/8/15.  Winner will be drawn by random by Raffelcopter  on 13 August and announced on Twitter via @PTMollie.  This giveaway is open to anyone with a UK postal address.
