Weekend Challenge

If you follow me on Twitter, you probably saw me moaning a bit about my DOMS this week.  Last weekend, while jet-lagged, I took a 2 day instructor course with Kick Fitness*.  This program was developed by Christian Thomson, a kickboxing world champion.  I can attest to the fact that it is hard work!  My bum was officially whooped after being on holiday for  2 weeks and the full weekend of intense training.  Only today (5 days later) have I been able to walk like a normal person and not a zombie.

I am nearly certified and hope to be leading some kickboxing classes in London soon (ninja fitness anyone?). In the meantime, I challenge you to attend a martial arts-inspired class this weekend.  It can be a boxing class at the gym, judo down at the community center, or I will even allow Tae Bo at home.  Have fun and try something new!

*To the best of my knowledge, Kick Fitness does not incorporate samurai swords.  However, if Uma Thurman wants to attend one of my classes I will find a sword for her to demo with.
