3-5 minutes of warm up- walking or jogging (can be in place or going up and down stairs).
1 minute of jumping jacks/star jumps
1 minute of squats
1 minute of push-ups/press-ups
1 minute of leg lifts
1 minute of supermans
1 minute of hip raises
1 minute of lunges
1 minute of dips- on a sturdy chair or bench

MAKE IT
Today’s recipe comes from Nichola Whitehead at Nic’s Nutrition and is for some healthy breakfast cookies which would be perfect for a busy Christmas morning if you made them the day before.  Nichola Whitehead is a specialist registered dietitian and she has a passion for promoting health and nutrition to all. She starting blogging in January 2012 as a way of promoting healthy eating in a readable and accessible manner and has since worked with various companies and publications including Sainsbury's Magazine, The Student Sports Magazine, Graze, Nairn's Oatcakes, My Muesli, British Turkey and Mornflake. More recently she has also started her very own YouTube channel.



Healthy Breakfast Cookies
Makes: 6 Cookies
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Nutrition Per Cookie: 99 kcal, 3g Protein, 14g Carbs, 3g Fat
Nutritional Benefits: High in soluble fibre & antioxidants – perfect at any time of day
 
Ingredients:
 
70g porridge oats
50g cranberries or raisins
20g flaked almonds
1 egg white
2-3 teaspoons of stevia sweetener (or sugar)
125ml of almond milk (or other milk)
½ teaspoon of vanilla
½ teaspoon of cinnamon or ginger
 
How to make:
1) Preheat the oven to 190 degrees C
2) Put all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix well
3) Make cookie shapes by scooping a heaped dessert spoon of the mixture onto a greased baking tray or on baking paper
4) Bake for 20 minutes or until golden, and allow to cool
